Love and Romance….
February is a month focused on LOVE and ROMANCE…I have some favorite authors who never fail to provide a great adventure full of love and romance…and that’s something we can all enjoy! Below are three of my GO TO authors…depending on your reading wants and time, I am sure one of them will be a fit!
For light and fun, I always rely on Lynn Kurland. Her stories of time travel and romance bring a great twist to the standard “boy meets girl”. She writes strong characters who come to life on the pages and will make you laugh. One of the best things about her books is while each story can stand alone, they also connect to other books…allowing you to revist characters. You can check out a full list of her books at www.LynnKurland.com
A Knight in Shining Armor, by Jude Deveraux, was one of the first romances I read…she has remained a favorite of mine. She has written many stand alone books as well as some fun series..her books encompass many time periods, from Medival to Contemporary…you’re sure to find one you enjoy. One of her most popular series was about the “Montgomery” men…read about them and you will understand the quotes! You can start your journey in her Velvet series…for a full list check out her website… www.judedeveraux.com

My final recommendation would be to sink your reading teeth into the Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon. While many struggle as to how to categorize these books (romance alone would never do)…the lead story throughout is about the bond shared by Jamie and Claire. Unlike most novels that bring the couple together and then end with the promise of “happily ever after,” Diana takes her story through the ups and downs of married life…that is married life that also has time travel, a couple of wars, tropical island voodoo, long lost family, seperation, near death and loss. These books are not for the faint of heart…a full day can happen in the first 200 pages. But enjoy them you will! The series currently has seven books with another one on the way…to find out more about Diana check out www.dianagabladon.com
I hope you enjoy your month and find some great new reads…let me know who your “go to author” is…love the discovery of new authors!

Great suggestions Anne! I am definitely going to check these out. I’ve been wanting to start some romance reads.
Good ideas, Anne! I have a total love-hate relationship with the Outlander series. Some of the books are fantastic, and some I wanted to throw out the window at the end. But Jaime and Claire are one of the best romantic couples ever written.
If you like a little laughter with your romance, I’ve always liked Katie MacAlister. She has several supernatural series (Dark Ones and Dragons starting with the Aisling Grey series) but her historicals and contemporaries are laugh-out-loud funny as well.
Rebecca I can understand the love hate thing… Lol but the chemistry between Jamie and Claire keeps me reading them over and over! Lol
Will definitely look for the ones you mentioned…who doesn’t enjoy a good laugh! I love laughing out loud and startling my husband!
