Brain Fitness
In honor of World Alzheimer’s Month, I decided to give y’all some resources on how to keep your brain healthy. I have given you many posts about how to keep your body healthy, but what about your mind? We kind of need that part to keep working.
Two websites that I want you to check out:
1. www.fitbrains.com : Here you can find information on how mental stimulation, nutrition, physical activity, socialization, and spirituality can improve your brain health. The site also offers a free trial for their training program to improve your brain function.
2. www.lumosity.com: This is just a fun site that offers plenty of training options for brain stimulation to keep you sharp and on your toes. They also offer scientific research that explains how the training can really improve brain function.
As Sigma Kappas, we are always aware that benefiting Alzheimer’s disease research plays an important role as not only part of our philanthropic endeavors, but also impacts our lives directly in relation to family and friends. I encourage you to do what you can to keep your brain healthy and strong, and to incorporate some brain fitness into your routine as well.
Live on purpose, and Live Sigma Kappa.
