Halloween Cupcakes
Happy Halloween everybody! This is my most favorite time of year! If you are friends with me on Facebook, you will see that I post a picture just about every other day of my totally awesome halloweeney socks! That is right….I AM THAT GIRL. If I had a million dollar budget, I would spend it completely on Halloween stuff (and a small portion to pay off my student loans…
)
So, on my last post, I had Teri request something with candy corn. Well…I’m not a big fan of candy corn, and I just couldn’t think of something that I could do with them that would be appropriate for Halloween. But I did do something last year that is appropriate for Thanksgiving.
It was so much fun making them. All you need for those is frosting, Oreos, mini Reese’s cups and candy corn. DELICIOUS!
But for this post, I did Halloween pumpkin cupcakes. They were delicious!
For this recipe, you will need the following items:
- Cake mix
- Cupcake cups
- Pumpkin Spice
- 2 cans of pumpkin
- 2 containers of Cool Whip
- 1-2 packages of vanilla instant pudding
Make cupcakes like normal.
Mix the rest of the ingredients together. I only used one package of vanilla instant pudding, but I suggest two just to make it thicker. Add pumpkin spice to taste. IT IS SO DELICIOUS!
You eat this with vanilla wafers and it is absolutely DELICIOUS! So, to make it that much better, I chose to use it as frosting. This combo was just so delicious I was so excited to eat one, or two or three.
I learned how to frost these cupcakes by a very beautiful Sigma Kappa sister named Jecca. She bakes and decorates cakes and does so well at them that she will be doing my wedding cake. Anyway, she taught me how to frost cupcakes. I then added some sprinkle to them and voila: Pumpkin Halloween Cupcakes.
Now, of course there is always something that has to go wrong when I do a recipe or a craft for this blog. It never fails. I love crafting and baking, but I am by no means any good at any of it.
I had these cupcakes in the box in the fridge. I take them out to take them to work for my co-workers. AND THEY FALL. OH, they fall so hard that they were just absolutely ruined. There was pumpkin frosting all over the place (in the box, that is). I now wish that I would have taken a photo, but I was just so mad that I dropped the cupcakes.
Do you have any pumpkin recipes that you would like to share? Please post in the comments what you like to make for Halloween. What will your costume be for Halloween? Will you be making your costume? Would you like for a recipe for November or a craft? YOU DECIDE! 1, 2, 3…GO!

For Halloween I am planning on making some mocha Krispy treat I found on Pinterest!
I vote for a great craft next month…although I love your little turkey!
Thanks Anne! Although I didn’t do a craft for November, I definitely have one planned for December! My cupcakes didn’t turn out well, but that is where all the fun is at in my opinion! I’ll have to look up those treats from pinterest and try them. They sound delicious! I found a Mocha Brownie recipe on there and they were to die for!
