Ok, so full bad mommy confession moment, when we packed up and moved to Hong Kong, I completely forgot to include our holiday decorations. The children have begun questioning what are we doing for Halloween, uh, whoopsie daisy. Then the guilt times two when our neighbors informed us beggar’s night is kind of a big “to do” here. So on the down low I have been searching for quick and easy Halloween decor. Here in Hong Kong it’s still 85 and sunny, so it feels odd to be purchasing pumpkins and gourds and I guarantee I paid way too much for the ones I did purchase. It has occurred to me to just buy everything at IKEA that’s orange. That seems like cheating some how. So when the kids are away at school I’ve been searching for ideas. Below are some of the most fantastic ones I’ve discovered…

* because who doesn’t love cake pops?

* this black and white Halloween party theme is fabulously sophisticated

* there are several ways to spookify up a daily meal

* if you have stairs (we have five flights) I would imagine  these to be awesomesauce

* a Halloween bunting can be created with paper or fabric

* try these Halloween movies that the whole family can view and still get a good nights sleep

* when it’s time to wind the day down try reading some classic Halloween books

Happy Halloween friends. Have a spooktacular night.
