Fairy Lights…
Wait… so Christmas is over? Sniff. Sniff. Time to put away all those Christmas lights. Hold it right there. Don’t put all your lights away. If you can find a good sale, go buy some more. Then as you take them off the tree, drape them in every nook and cranny. Let’s start with the easy and straightforward…
What a welcome sight to come home to. That wasn’t so hard, right? I mean it’s from the IKEA website. Ok, where else can we add some sparkling wunderful?
Fabulous, yes? I think I’m going to install at least a couple of these around the house. No worries regarding the plug being visible. If you have the battery operated lights, just tape the battery pack to the back (or be completely lazy and just lay it on the floor). And if you have electric socket lights, you can just set the frame on the floor, hiding the electric socket just like the inspiration photo courtesy of www.paperchase.co.uk via Pinterest.
In love with the ‘yum.’ This was constructed for a holiday office party at The Design Office, and they loved it so much it just became permanent. I can just picture this in a kitchen or dining room. Anywhere else? How about spelling out ‘hi’ on a foyer wall? So, before you put all those holiday lovelies away into dusty basement storage, think ’how else can I display these?’ How else have you used fairy lights? Morphed Christmas decor into your regular day?
xox,
Christine
