This Year Will Change Our Lives…
Have you ever asked the question, “What could I do if I didn’t have debt payments to make each month?” I think I ask that question once a week. Of course, it’s easy to dream about the answers to that question. If we didn’t have debt payments, we would…
* vacation almost anywhere we wanted to go
* save money to purchase new vehicles
* set aside enough money to help our daughter get a college education without student loans
* adequately save for retirement
* help more people, and give more of it away
At the end of this year, those dreams will have a greater possibility of becoming reality. We made a goal that we will be debt-free by the end of this year. This is it. This is the year that will change our lives forever. To be honest, I don’t know how we will accomplish this goal. We have some plans already in place. We have learned how to live on Kevin’s income, and any income I make will go straight toward our debt. We have also planned how we will use “one touch” money – money such as tax refunds, gifts and bonuses. That type of money will be used in special ways, but will also largely go toward debt repayment.
Being debt-free by the end of 2013 is an audacious goal for us. But I’m so excited about the possibilities that exist because of it! I can’t wait to see what we get to do with our finances next.
Do you have any audacious financial goals for 2013?

Wow. Will you even be mortgage free too?
We sold our house last year and currently live in an apartment. So, in that way we will be mortgage free too.
